Mike’s Scuba Clinics Scuba is a sport, right? To play sports
really well you must practice, right? When was the last time you
“practiced” your sport of Scuba Diving? You’ve probably never
“practiced” Scuba Diving. Over 75 percent of divers including
“Advanced” divers have never practiced their skills since their
Open Water class. Every professional athlete practices for hours
every day so when game day comes they can perform to near
perfection. So should we. When your next dive comes wouldn’t it be
nice to gear up, giant stride into the ocean, and enjoy the other
75 percent of the Earth without worry or incident. I have put
together an ongoing series of Scuba Clinics that will enable you to
perfect your diving skills and knowledge. My Scuba Clinics will be
held twice a week and will last for about 2 hours. They are open to
any diver at any level. The Scuba Clinics will start off simple and
progressively get more difficult as the weeks go by. We will cover
everything from proper mask fit to being able to turn 360 degrees
while horizontally hovering in the middle of the water column. Of
course there will be games to help you master the skills. I will
behaving a Scuba Clinic Challenge. To complete the Scuba Clinic
Challenge you must complete and master all 20 different pool
skills. Anyone who completes the challenge will receive a Columbia
all weather jacket with your name embroidered and a certificate of
completion. To sign up for Mike’s Scuba Clinic please call Scuba
Outfitters at 239-280-5500 or stop by the shop at 1949 Davis Blvd.
