Hey guys,
I'm a civil engineering major at UCF. I am a member of the UCF dive club, and the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. I worked at Florida Scuba Depot/ new Naples Dive Center until it closed. In my spare time I play guitar (quite a bit) and work on cars.
As far as diving history goes, I was certified in 2006 in St. Thomas/St. Maarten. I've been diving in the Keys and Fort Lauderdale ever since. I also got a Nitrox certification from John Blake at Naples Dive Center. When I moved up to Orlando, I started diving in freshwater springs. I've moved my equipment over from recreational to technical, including a backplate, wing, doubles regulators, canister light, and steel doubles. I took my Cavern course last May in cave country, and I hope to get my Basic Cave certification sometime this year. I also was lucky enough to do some diving in Hawaii this summer, including a night dive with manta rays.
My favorite dive spots in North Florida are Ginnie Springs (Ballroom and Devil's system), Paradise Springs, Peacock Springs, and Blue Springs. I love to dive with Capt. Todd on the American Dream 2 in Fort Lauderdale.
My "to do" list for diving includes Jackson Blue Springs, Merritts Mill Pond, and the Oriskany. I'd like to take (and pass) GUE Fundamentals, and progress along the GUE technical training path. I'd also like to get into a drysuit (when I can afford one!).
Equipment includes Salvo, Dive Rite, Oxycheq, BARE, Hollis, XS Scuba, Intova, Tusa, Oceanic, etc.
